Ohio Elections Officials Protest Deadline

Local election officials in Ohio are objecting to the February 9 deadline set by Secretary of State Kenneth Blackwell for choosing new voting systems to comply with HAVA. The protest comes in light of Blackwell's January 12 order to counties to choose an approved optical scan system, or have Blackwell's office choose a system for them.
